Lisa Johnston
The owner of Custom Accounting & Tax, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University. Lisa is a Certified Public Account and is a member of The Arizona Board of Accountancy.
Lisa has specialized in accounting and taxes for fourteen years. She started her own firm after five years with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte and Touché in the both their Phoenix and London offices. She left corporate accounting to be able effect change in businesses and see the results of those efforts directly. She has a passion for helping business owners understand their financial position and how that can enhance their business. As a CPA, she brings knowledge and expertise to help you reach your financial goals. Custom Accounting & Tax is able to provide services to assist businesses, non profit organization, and individuals in the area of accounting, personal finance and tax needs.
Custom Accounting & Tax’s vision is to empower business owners and boards of directors to make powerful and effective business decisions through solid financial knowledge about their business and its industry. This provides them with more time to build and enjoy their business.
Custom Accounting & Tax is celebrating their 20 years in business in 2008. The business started in an executive suite in Carefree, Arizona. Currently we employee six people and have clients across the globe. We provide full service accounting, payroll, personal bill paying, and tax services. We work closely with small businesses and non profit organizations to educate and assist in their accounting knowledge. We assist individuals with their income tax planning and cash flow management
Nya Roial
Nya Joined Custom Accounting & Tax in 2006 and is a standout performer. Her areas of expertise are Accounting Set-up, payroll and sales tax services, reconciliations, invoicing and billing services. Her special emphasis is on personal accounts management for entrepreneurial clients that include personal bill payment services and records. Nya has an innate ability to see the big picture. A native of Romania Nya keeps in close contact with her family here in the states as well as in Romania. She finds time to read to children at local hospitals and enjoys spending time with her two God children.
Diane Reid
Diane is a Certified QuickBooks Pro. She oversees all payroll systems and services. Expertise includes payroll and sales tax reporting, with a focus on day to day bookkeeping and operational support with personal finance management for those clients with personal interests in multiple entities.
Born in the mid-west, Diane began her career in the Banking industry moving into high tech specializing in the management of large and multi-platform DBMs. In the spring of 2005, Diane returned to school to redirect her career back into accounting arena. She has experience in multiple industries and enjoys the diversity offered by CA & T clients.
When not crunching the numbers Diane can most likely be found riding, training, and tending to her mare.
Julie Scott
Julie comes to CA & T from the Chicago area with vast experience in management and certified tax instruction for a large tax services organization. Her focus is in Business accounts management, write up, and all forms of personal and business income tax preparation.
Julie is a member of Paradise Valley Community Church where she sings in the choir. She is the proud mom of 4 (grown) boys, one precious grand daughter and her kitty. She finds working to help with hospice personally rewarding.Brenda Dass
Brenda lives here in Cave Creek and has been with CA & T since 1992. Brenda handles special projects and transitions with a focus on Home Owners Associations and non-profit organizations. Brenda also works in personal accounting and bill paying, accounts receivables and payables.
She has Chaired several committees and served as state treasurer for Daughters of the American Revolution, and served as Chaplain and past treasurer for Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. Brenda likes to relax with her husband of 41 years, George, their son, and their 2 lovely granddaughters.
Kim Byrket
Kim comes to Custom Accounting & Tax with over 10 years of experience in corporate bookkeeping in the food supply industry. Her areas of expertise are in QuickBooks, sales tax, tax accounting, and preparation. Kim is a member of Desert View Bible Church where she volunteers in the toddlers and infant classes. She is also a member of the Queen Creek Junior Rodeo Association. Kim and her husband of 8 years, Jeff, enjoy traveling to rodeos with their 5 and 2 year old daughters.
Tena Torgerson
Tena our Office and Marketing Manager come to us with a design and marketing background in the Midwest. She worked as a designer for a design firm north of Chicago and in marketing for a Midwestern medical products company. She is the proud mom of 2 grown sons.
